FAQ

A: School Choice Week describes learning pods as “students gathering together in a small group – with adult supervision who is a teacher or tutor – to learn, explore and socialize.” Usually, pods are formed when families in a neighborhood or same vicinity bring children similar in age together.”

A: We suggest up to 6 children in a pod. A learning pod can be as small as three children in a group or up to ten students in a group who are of a similar age or grade level. We can assist you with forming your very own learning pod or you can join one of our existing pods at our learning studio.

A: The host family is required to provide a space in their home. We suggest your child’s play area, den, Florida room, living room, dining room, garage, backyard etc. We will visit your home to discuss the appropriate space and what items are needed; basically, a table and five chairs for the children. We will provide all the supplies, art materials and games for learning! Think of a learning pod as your personalized “school” for your child where you can choose their classmates! We bring the teacher to YOU in the comfort of your home! You also may join our existing pods at our learning studio.

A: Yes, we provide learning pods for homeschooled students in grades K-5. A teacher can meet with students in your learning pod for help in core subjects and/or for enhancement. However, it is still the parent’s responsibility to maintain a homeschool education program for their child. We do not conduct annual evaluations. However, we will keep track of your child’s attendance and completed work. Essentially, our teachers can assist with tutoring in core subjects, enhancement and/or creating core subject projects with your learning pod.
