A teacher calls on students as four children raise their hands at their desks in a bright classroom.

Why families choose a pod

Six children, capped

Small enough that the teacher holds every child's level in their head at once.

A written summary

After every session: what your child worked on, what clicked, what comes next.

Plans, not worksheets

Lessons written for the children in the room, not a curriculum handed down.

Two focused hours

Mornings or afternoons. Long enough to go deep.

Three children painting at a big wooden studio table, one holding up a drawing of her own hand.
A tutor leaning in beside a young girl, both looking at the same letters worksheet.
Children's hands cutting and arranging colored paper shapes across a craft table.

6children in every pod, never more

How a pod works

Individual attention, and someone to sit next to.

Your child works at their own level on a plan written for them, in a room with up to five other children doing the same. They get the focus of one-to-one tutoring and the company of a real classroom, without either of the trade-offs.

FAQ

Questions families ask before joining a pod.

What is a learning pod?

A small group of children working together to learn, explore, socialize and have fun, supervised by a teacher, tutor, or guide. Families gather their child's friends, neighbors or classmates, and we provide the teacher.

How many students are in a learning pod?

We suggest up to six children. A pod can be as small as three. We can help you form your own pod, or your child can join an existing one.

What is required to host a learning pod at your home?

A space in your home: a play area, den, Florida room, living room, dining room, backyard. Essentially a table and five chairs. We visit first to agree on the space. We supply all the materials, art supplies and games.

What are the qualifications of the teachers?

Experience in the field of Education, with degrees in Early Childhood, Elementary, or ESE. All teachers are insured, fingerprinted, and background checked.

What curriculum is used?

For the youngest pods, play-based learning is used. For older pods, the curriculum is provided by families and/or teacher-generated.

What is the cost?

One set price per pod, depending on the number of students.

How long does each pod last?

Pod sessions run 17 weeks.

Where do families live?

Families live in Broward, Palm Beach, and Miami-Dade Counties.

Do you provide pods for homeschooled children only?

No, after school pods are available in addition to homeschool pods.
